In the 1940s and early fifties it was projected that about 50% of men and twenty six percent twenty six percent of women had committed adultery (13 ).
About the above numbers, they could be skewed, due to public mores against at time against the act.
America doesn't seem to be a place where most divorce and remarry on a whim. In 2009 a Survey showed that in America of the people who've ever been married 76 percent have only been married once (14 ).
