WANNSEE PROTOCOL PERIOD
There is no evidence that suggests any plan to kill even most of the Jews in Nazi controlled Europe before 1941(1 ).
In pre Holocaust Germany Anti Semites often supported Zionist ambitions and at the time Hitler felt the Jew belonged in its own state in Palestine as it could be a way to induce them to leave Germany(2 ).
An example of this relationship is the Ha'avara agreement(3 ).
The agreement was made pre holocaust (August 1933) and allowed Jews to immigrate to Palestine with a portion of their cash. It's believed this agreement contributed to Jewish homeland in Palestine (4 ).
Part of the motivation for Nazi cooperation on this matter was, due to Nazi atrocities worldwide boycotts had started to spring up in early 1933 (5 ).
The boycott had limit overall effect on Germany many groups did not support the German Boycott, the Alliance Isra'lite Universelle, and the American Jewish Committee, also the Ha'avara agreement was successful in contributing to limiting the effect of these boycott(6 ).
Though this may have been a method to entice Jews to leave Germany in favor on Palestine, soon a war would start that would change everything (7 ).
Zionist may have believe Hitler only wanted the Jews out of Germany, but its interesting to note. The Nazis planned to expand the extermination of Jews to British controlled Palestine. The plan was to send mobile death squads called "Einsatzgruppe". They had units in Athens waiting order to go to Palestine in 1942 (8 ).
Experts believe that Hitler's "Final Solution" did happen as one event, but was series of events (9 ).
One such event was the Wannasee conference, the Wannsee conference, where the Wannsee protocol was drafted was first planned for December 1941, but it had to be postponed due to the military set back in Russia and the USA entering the war (10 ).
The " Wannsee Protocol " are minutes of a meeting that was attended by a number of high and mid level Nazi officals on January 20, 1942, this meeting was convened by Reinhard Heydrich, chief of Security Police and the Security Service(11 ).
Reinhard Heydrich had the nickname "the hangman" was a assassinated months after " Wannsee Protocol " meeting was held. He was trying to quell Czech unrest, as per Hitler's orders. One example of how he did this was he executed 250 Czech in a two week period (12 ).
He died on June 4 1942, it was predicted that 5,000 Czech would be executed in reprisal for the assassination (13 ).
In order to hid the killing Adolf Eichmann said that the "Wannsee Protocol " had to be revised several times, in part to remove the references to specific methods of killing. Also Heinrich Himmler ordered SS statistician Richard Korher not to even use the term "special treatment" when reporting on deaths in the camps, he was just suppose to say they passed through the camp (14 ).
